Balance

I have always had a hard time finding balance in my life. When the
kids were younger and I was working, I would rush rush rush through
each day, with so many things on my schedule I didn't ever think I would
ever catch up. I'd finish one thing so I could hurry on to the next,
sometimes not even thinking about what it was.

Today, I am at the other end of the spectrum, going no where fast.
In fact I have to force myself to get up and leave the house.... The
hustle bustle of the traffic and rude drivers out there make me nuts.
We rarely to go out to dinner because of the no smoking laws and
I refuse to go along with it and deny myself of my habit. We don't
go much of anywhere as a couple, all because of my not wanting
to leave the house. "Honey" goes to play golf and is much more
social than I am and I don't complain. I know he would like me to
go more, but I can't seem to whip up any "want to"......

I know I need to find some balance in this and will just have to apply
myself and come up with some answers. The only way I know to
start is to, "Just Do It" and starting with baby steps! Working on this
One Day At a Time. The old saying that "life is a journey not a destination"
fits here. The journey is what’s important and I wonder how much of it
I'm missing......
