What a beautiful rainy day we are having here in
Las Vegas. I have always loved the rain, it's ironic
I would end up living in the desert. When it rains,
the air smells so fresh and everything appears to
be so clean and new. I could sit forever, just
watching the raindrops fall out of the sky. The
only thing that could make me even more grateful
for this much need rain, would be a good down

I am having rain here today too. Sg. Its a good day to stay in jammies, drink nice cup of hot tea, and watch a good movie. Yep sounds like a plan to me.  What I like out of all that rain, is a nice rainbow to look at.  Have a great day! |

Hi SG,
I have a little "sleeping machine" I bought at Radio Shack. It has various sounds on it to help you go to sleep (train, wind etc. but each evening I always use the "rain" function.....works like magic....the sound of rain hitting the windows and roof.

I made it thru another dysfunctional family birthday dinner. They guests only ahd two screaming matches. Both were over politics. it makes it bad when half of the family is diehard democrats and the others are republicans. They like to egg each other on. But i stayed out. i stayed quiet. i DID say something i ahd planned not to say though. OOPS.
Last dinner my sister in law threw a toy across the room and it hit me in the glasses and scratched them and i ahd to pay $300 for new ones. Today she said to somebody to throw something to her. I said..no way. No throwing presents today. last time you did that it costed me $300 for new glasses.
I had planned not to say that, but I was NOT gonna allow throwing of presents either.
Grateful I had a good dinner and the weather was beautiful!

In the opposite vein of all you grateful rain-lovers. After weeks of cold, snowy, dreary weather, today was a gorgeous, sunny day here in Kentucky. For that I am grateful!!
