90 meetings in 90 days is not nearly enough. Tell newcomers to always catch a ride or give a ride to their daily meeting. This way they get a meeting on the way to the meeting, a meeting during the meeting, and a meeting on the way home. That makes 270 meetings in the first 90 days!
Who am I taking to a meeting tonight?

This is an important message. I use to think it was misleading, because when you get to the end of 90 days, you don't stop meeing, you continue to do the next 90 meetings in 90 days.
I had to find a new way of living. More importantly, I needed to learn a new way of thinking. How I did that was to go to meetings and hear others share. I learned to identify with others, I learned to find myself in the shares of others. I learned that I was no longer alone.
I was one of the really sick ones, so I did two meetings a day for two years. I really miss that part of recovery and I am so glad of the opportunity of coming on line and sharing with others.
I tried to get to 3 different meetings last week and it didn't happen. As they say, the road is paved with good intentions. One of these days, hopefully I can make it to anoon meeting, if it doesn't rain tomorrow and Wednesday.
I recently heard that it wasn't the fellowship's job to see that you get to a meeting or home from a meeting. It isn't their job and yet many people stayed clean and sober because they did service by helping others. Never had a car since I came into recovery, but hoping on a bus works.
I co-sponsored a guy who had a car, he would meet me at a meeting around the corner from me, they he would take me and others to a second meeting on a Friday night. He said, "I normally used on Friday night, so I need to keep myself safe and that is a good way to do it, it helps me and others."
Just as important is the meeting before and after the meeting. So many times the connection(s) you make before and after the meeeting are the ones you need. Don't leave until the miracle happens.
Don't leave! Stay!
