D is for Decision. All we are asked to do is make a decision in Step 3. It can be followed up with action, but not until the decision is made. Do I truly want to turn my will and my life over to the CARE of God. He/She won't do it for me, just guide, direct and encourage me on my journey. Attachments:

O is for Offering. What are we offering to our Higher Power for all the goodness that He gives to us on a daily bases. Do we give thanks, do we remember to give even a little thank you for a sun beam that passes our way or for a sweet smile that crosses a child's face when he looks our way in passing.

R is for Review. I think it is good to look back at your life and do a yearly review. Am I resting on my laurels, am I resting on the work I did on the Step work I did when I first came into recovery, have I not gotten more honest and truthful with myself over the years. Am I a retread, a little retarded and not growing in my program, or am I residing with my God each day and walking with Him.

S is for Sobriety. Sobriety stands for soundness of mind. You can't have soundness of mind if you are stoned on drugs, stewed in alcohol, succumbed to emotions of others, slumbering after being stuffed from food or any other addictive substance. It all leads to the same soul sickness, that is why we need to be clean and sober. Attachments:
