'Always remember that each day as you look at your world and see millions upon millions of flowers opening up, God does it all without using any force.' ~Dr. Wayne Dyer (P 91, Everyday Wisdom)
If I have to force the solution, then it's not the solution.
- Pocket SponsorWhat an awesome quote. I not even sure what I am going to say about it, I just knew I wanted to share it with others. I do know that forced solutios do not work. Even if they seem to appear okay in the moment, and it is all worked out in my head, because it probably not got to my heart, or I would be doing God's will instead of my own. Things that are forced, enforced, and regimented, often fall short of what needs to be done. Man is human and invalible. It has been my experience that God seem to get those little details all worked out and never seems to miss a thing. He can see the whole picture, from all directions and knows what is best for the whole rather than what is best according the the few or the power that be. He knows the circumsances that are coming, the situations that are not going to last and fall short of the greater plan. After all, He is the Master Planner and knows all things. For me, He is the solution. My best thinking got me to the doors of recovery. As it says in the literature, I need to align my will with His. The Traditions also tell us that it is His Voice we need to listen for.

“Impossible only means that you haven't found the solution yet.” - - Unknown
I've discovered that often times the only way I can come up with a solution to my problem is to wait.... Trying to force a square peg into a round hole never works! If I think for a while I can usually come up with the solution, but sometimes things just aren't meant to be! SG

Through God, all things are possible. They not be possible the way we want it to happen, but there is always a solution. As they say, "When you live in the solution, instead of looking at the problem, it is amazing what happens.
As you say, things are different and it doesn't mean they can't fit and function together, the difference is not trying to change the other one to be like the other one, they are each individuals. It is often because of their differences they get along. It is because one person isn't willing to change or adjust that the difference remains and no solution can be found.

We used to have an ACOA meeting here. It was a two hour meeting. Two of the papers we read after steps and traditions were the problem and the solution. We also read the laundry list.
It's been many years since that meeting closed. I wish I had a copy of the papers.
I jut rememebr it was things like you willo know a new freedom. You willfind new ways to make decisions. etc.
By working my program my solution has arrived. I agree my HP is a big part of the solution, but much of it was within myself all the time,. I jstu had to tap into it.

Like that Lin, the tapping in. It is always there, it is about us remembering that it is there. AA says live in the solution, not the problem. For me that means, stay clean and sober and things will work out. Once I pick up that drug, ge it a drug of any kind, for me pills, alcohol, food, and relationships, I immediately slipback into the problem. As I have said before, my sponsor always said, "Don't call them problems, call them challenges. Challenges you can overcome, problems you can say stuck in.

When we live in the solution, for me that is the program, the 12 Steps which are a common denominator between all fellowships.

This reminds me that I called out to a member of my group last week and said, "There is a solution." Not sure he knew what I meant, he is new in recovery.
We can tap into that power any time day or night. When I surrender, I am empowered to do what I need to do to stay clean and sober in today. Surrender is not giving up, it is giving over.

The Creator's handiwork show this power, grace, and gentleness, when I surrender, tat Life Force is available to me. Through a higher Power all things are indeed possible.
