U is for Understanding. I need to learn and understand how my God works in my life. Each day brought new understanding and a deeper relationship with the God of my understanding.

V is for Vision. When I open my eyes, expand my horizons, and allow my feelings to come from my heart instead of my head, my vision for my life is hopeful. I will find a new freedom and a new happiness, the First Promise, is what gave me visions of hope when I first came into recovery. I saw people doing what I had been trying to do for 8 years. They stopped and stayed stopped.

W is for WORDS.....I watch my words carefully to be sure I am not being critical. Before working the steps I dont think I paid attention to that.

X is a tricky one...I will cheat abit. X is for X-Actly where they need to be. Even though we want more for our loved ones, they are X-actly where their higher power wants them right now.

Y is for Yet. If you haven't been there yet, be aware that this disease is cunning, baffling, and powerful, if you continue to use (people, places and things), you just may find yourself there.

Z is for Zero. When our score card read zero, we reached out and asked for help. We need to do Step One 100%, anything less, and I set myself up for relapse. I had to learn that enough was enough and learn to say "No!"
