What is forgiveness, and why should I practice it?
There are two types of forgiveness. One you do for another, and one you do for yourself. The forgiveness you do for another is the false forgiveness and keeps you further in bondage and pain because you never fully release the other person. Therefore the pain stays within you. Normally you say, "this time I forgive you, but next time I wont". Forgiveness never places conditions. The other type of forgiveness is the type you do for yourself. You realize that if you don't forgive the other person, YOU will suffer inside. The burning fires of hell are in you when you don't forgive others. It will poison your entire energy system allowing sickness and disease to enter. PEACE!!

The link on the previous post no longer worked. I chose this as a topic for last weeks meeting. We had some good discussion. We do indeed need to forgive for our own peace of mind. I think this might have come from SG's Have A Great Day, like the message. As the message says, do you want to be bitter or better. Attachments:

Today, I had to forgive myself because I didn't feel well enough to be on the computer. I was not very forgiving of my situation here, I took two inhalers and cough medicine and still I coughed. I wanted it to all go away. I even shut off curling and missed a lot of figure skating, because I didn't feel well enough to watch it. They are things I do for myself, things that I like to watch and really enjoy. I think I had a little resentment toward my doctor, he was suppose to fix me and make me all better. The pharmacy faxed him twice to get a I have to wait now until Monday. As they say, a resentment is often me not getting what I want, when I want it. Forgiving myself, accepting what is in the moment, and letting go and letting God, makes life so much easier.
