Hey there everyone! My name is Brandy & I'm a grateful recovering Addict/Alcoholic. God willing, in 3 days I'll have 6 years! I hear about this sight at the WSAC & I'm just getting started here. Thank you for being here for me! I did notice that there are message boards for AA, NA, OA, ACOA, Al-anon, Narc-anon & even, CR ( ).... I was just curious.... where's CA? If there isn't one yet, I'd be more than happy to handle it! I got sober in AA, but in the area I got sober in there were a LOT of old-timers who didn't want us "addicts" talking about drug use, which ended up being an incredible turn-off to me. Luckily, I found CA (Cocaine Anonymous) & found a fellowship I could call home! What I like most about CA is that they use the Big Book because it works (I never got into using a different text like they do in, NA....) & they welcome ANYONE with an addiction to ANYTHING! Many of our members have NEVER used cocaine, but they are more than welcome in our meetings & in our fellowship. If you haven't been to a CA meeting, no matter what your addiction, I highly recommend checking one out. You may not fall in love with it like I did, but you'll never know either way until you try, right? I truly look forward to trudging the road to happy destiny with all of you! If there is any way I can be of service, please just let me know!

Welcome Brandy, sorry I am late in acknowledging your post. My computer and my health have been down for the count. I am not sure my computer is fixed yet or not. My heart specialist doesn't get back until the 20th, so have had to take it easy. Just started feeling better today, so dropped in to say hello. We never had a CA section, but you are welcome to post there. I have been to the meetings, belonged to a CA Woman's Group, and spoke at an anniversary. I never used crack or cocaine, but for me, a drug is a drug, and I used many mind altering substances. My "C" words were Codeine, Cigarettes, Control, Coffee, Computers, etc. The 12 Steps are a common denominator for all addictions. The substance is but a symptom of my disease. The problem was always me. I don't know how to set up a new section for CA, perhaps you could put it in General Recovery.
