Today I read such a scarey story in our local paper. There is a girl named KASEY. I taught her in 3rd grade and I still teach with her mom. With school closed for theholidays I had to read abut this in the paper.
Last week Kasey and her family were robbed at gunpoint in their own home. The robbers tied up her and her husband in front of their three children. She said the more she cried the harder he pushed her face into the carpet. They robbed and threatened them for over 2 hours. The robbers were only 16 and 17 but they kept taking mean and threating to kill them and the kids. They robbed everything they could get out of the house and even had him drive them to the ATM for a small amount of cash. Luckily they decided NOT to kill them and they were arrested. She and her family came home for a few days and stayed with her parents. Members of her church went in and cleaned her house and put it back in order for them to return. (They live in another state.) I can imagine this family will be having nightmares for a long time over this and will probably need counseling. I am praying in gratitude that they did not get shot and that they caught the robbers.
It made me cry to read it since I knew them so well. What a scarey ordeal to have to go through!
I am sure Kasey and her family woudl appreciate prayers.

Sending prayers for Kasey and the family......
It's a shame when bad things happen to good people. I sometimes wonder what is making the youth of today, act out in such horrible ways.
Peace on the journey, SG

My prayers go out for Kasey. I remember when my mom's house was robbed. Luckily we weren't home but the sense of being violated didn't leave for a long time. We used to prop a chair up against the door. Looking back that probably wouldn't have done much good. I am glad Kasey has such good friends and neighbors to help straighten out her house. Coming home will be just a little easier for her and her family. Prayers for all of them.
