D is for Dry Drunk/Drug addict.
A dry drunk is someone who isn't working the Steps. They are not using, but continue to act out in their disease. A good warning is to have a using dream. A good sign that something is not working in your program. Perhaps you haven't been to a meeting, talked to your sponsor, worked the steps, picked up the phone to talk to another addict how is your connection with your Higher Power.

G is for Gratitude. A few years ago, I did a meditation using Jamie Sams' Sacred Path Workbook. It said, "Give thanks, it is already on its was.". I never forgot those words, because when I shut the book up, my phone rang with the answer to my prayer.

H is for Honesty. No one hurt me more than I hurt myself. It took me a long time to get honest. I had to admit to my own powerlessness and unmanageablety. I needed to find acceptance.

N is for No. What part of no do you not understand, as Lorrie Morgan sang many years ago. No means no. I have heard it said, she really means yes when she is saying no. We change things around to hear what we want to hear.

O is for Outcome. Don't look at how much you have to do stay in the moment and look how far you have come. It is some times good to look at the whole picture, but that can be overwhelming. Look at what is in front of you, what is a priority. First things first, my sobriety. It is okay to take a time out.
