One holiday down and one to go......
I hope all of you enjoyed your Thanksgiving, didn't eat too much and are looking forward to the next feast on Christmas day......
My newspaper was loaded with ads for the sales going on around town. I stayed in friday, but braved the crowds today and it really wasn't to bad. I am going to try to get my shopping done a little earlier this year, so I don't have to stress about it.....
Don't forget the meeting tonight......
Hugs, ~SG~

I was running a little late for the meeting last night, I got there about 15 minutes late.
There was one person in the room when I arrived and that person needed a meeting. We never officially opened the meeting, but it was a meeting from the heart. We hadn't been there to long and one more came in.... Our "meeting from the heart" grew and we had several more come in and out and we got to meet a new member of EOR, who is from Scotland.
The first person in the room had faith that someone would show up. She had arrived 15 minutes early, in order to get a good seat. All said, the meeting last night was wonderful, with many shares from the heart, and to think I almost didnt go..... I was blessed by being there and got to hear just what I needed!
Hugs, Cherie

I did brave the crowds on Friday morning and my DOGS bought me lots of clothes during the good sales. I had finished my shopping earlier this week...so the sale shopping is jsut for myself.
I'm glad you had a good from the heart meeting. Those are the best kind in many ways. I'm not sure what happened about the others...I dont usually go to that one because it is later than I like. The last one I attended, I remember Lildee said she had plans that night and her co-chair agreed to take the meeting on the 29th. I bet something important came up.
Talk to you soon! LIN

Hi everybody, I'm back from a good Thanksgiving trip. I love the title of this thread "one down and one to go" as holidays seem to be such a strain for people anymore, especially those with addictions or dysfunctional families. I guess all the "perfect moments" thrown at us via the media can make a person feel inadequate and unable to live up to expectations. Here is praying that all get thru the next holiday with minimal stress and much gratitude.

Hi ((((Janet)))) Glad to see you back and posting. Hope you had a good trip. Yes the holidays can dredge up a whole host of feelings both past and present. But the best I can offer is to stay in the now. Deal with things in small increments. If a day seems too long make it an hour. Slow small tiny steps. Love you and God Bless Arlene
