A is for........
Al-Anon doesn’t give us the choice between feeling good or feeling bad- it gives us the choice between feeling and not feeling.

B is for BEWILDERED!!!
How to I get to the Chat Room? Is it operating yet?
I am not new to recovery, but I am new to this message board. I don't normally go to Chat Rooms, but I sure could have used a meeting tonight.

D is for Duty! Nothing says I have to, but it is suggested that I give back what was given to me.
I believe I have a duty to my Higher Power to share the gifts that have been given to me. I have been given a second chance at life. I have a duty to myself to remain grateful and to work my program daily to maintain my recovery.

G is for Goodness.
When I look out for the Highest Goodness for me and for those around me, I am walking in what I call the Fellowship of the Spirit. When I do that, God is Good, Life is good, and good things happen in my life.

I is for Intellect. Some peopel try to intellectualize this program and it doesn't work that way. When "I" try to figure it out, I am back playing "God" with my life!
I try not to question, and I had to learn to accept and take not of those little miracles which didn't always have meaning.
Don't try to figure It out! Just do It!
My sponsor said to me one time, "JoAnne, are you trying to intellectualize again, STOP IT!"

[glow=red,2,300]J is for.... not judging others.
" Live and Let Live" sets us free from the compulsion to criticize, judge, condemn, and retaliate..... [ which] can damage us far more than those against whom we use such weapons. Al-Anon helps us to learn tolerance rooted in love." (This Is Al-Anon)[/glow]

P is for the promises. The promises are listed on page 83-84 in the 4th edition of the Big Book. We will be amazed!!! There are 12 promises and they will always materialize if we work for them.... Whenever I get angry or depressed I read the promises and they make me very grateful. It's a wonderful program and a wonderful life!!! Happy Holiday Hugs to all-Mistyeve
