A is for AWARENESS... when i am aware of a habit I need to break, it helps me start to break it. Same goes for a character defect I need to change.

C is for Control. Something I am learning to let go of. As they say, if you have to control it, it is already OUT OF CONTROL.

E is for.... expectaions.
I am grateful that I have learned to recognize when I project my expectations in a situation, and can change them accordingly.

F is for Faith. I have faith in the program of recovery, no matter which fellowship I choose.
Faith in my Higher Power, who will lead and direct me in the way He would have be go, just for today.

I am grateful that I don't have to spend my days worrying about him anymore. He has be replaced by a grander more loving HIM.

K is for KEEPING IN THE NOW.... If i let my mind dwell on the past or obsess abotu the future, I can go nutty. KEEPING in the NOW is healthier forme.

M is for MOTIVES. I have learned to check my MOTIVES for my actions and it often keeps me from having to make an amends in the furture. Checking my motives helps me see WHY i want to do something. Is it for the right reason? Is it to manipulate or to control another?

O is for .... Openmindedness
I am grateful that I was openminded enough to learn to accept the tenets of the Program. To find the peace and serenity that fill my life today instead of the rollercoaster and chaos that I once lived in.

P is for Partner. I needed to learn to have a relationship with myself, God and others.
Many years ago I heard, would you want yourself as a partner. Made me stop and think!

Q is for QUICKLY...I remind myself it would be very QUICK for me to get back to old habits and ways of thinking If I lapse in working my program.

R is for Reality. I must ask myself if in the moment I am in reality or am I in a place of wishful thinking and denial. It is important for me to stay grounded in the moment, and do a recovery reality check.
