U is for Understanding. It is important to understand where others are coming from. It is not up to me to judge someone when I haven't walked in that person's shoes. Acceptance of where I am at in today, helps me to have a better relationship and understanding with the God of my understanding.

V is for Value. It is important to value ourselves. I looked to others for vaildation for many years not knowing that it had to come from within. Giving myself daily affirmations helped me to come to believe that I was worthwhile and deserving of recovery.

W is for Winners. Anyone who stays clean and sober for one day is a winner. Those who keep winning, are those who work the Steps and work the program.

X is for X-Ray. How long has it been since you x-rayed and looked at your heart? Is it open to love, acceptance, trust, faith, caring, compassion, and giving to yourself and to others.

Y is for Yet. I haven't done that yet, There are a lot of new things out there, I hope I will never make the decision to go out there and try them. I didn't land on the street, but I was one step off living at the Y. If I picked up, I could go there yet.
