I guess this means it will be "Tolerant Tuesday" for me today. I say the serenity prayer when I am stuck in traffic or else I crank the music on the radio. Music does help me to tolerate some lousy situations. I am lucky to be able to play music at work all day while I am filing. It sure helps me to tolerate! Are you tolerant or are you intolerant? Please let me know! Thanks-----Mistyeve

Hi Mistyeve,
Tolerance is the lowest form of loving. So I am more on the tolerant side of this chip. There are only a few social ills which I am intolerant of. But this is only on a global level. I abide by "Love thy neighbor, and treat him as you wish to be treated." Tolerance. patience, understanding, and caring are what helps me to have a peaceful world.
Tomorrow is off to the dentist again to have a bridge put in. Yes I will tolerate the pain and discomfort only because I care about myself and my health.
Love & God Bless Arlene

Dear Arlene----I like that definition of tolerance being the lowest form of love. I guess I do love my job on some level. There's good and bad about it. Good Luck at the dentist. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for stopping by Honey!----Mistyeve
Dear John---You sure are passing for an adult! I don't like to get those necessary yearly check ups but it is a responsible thing to do and I wish you Good Luck. You are in my thoughts and prayers too and I thank you for stopping by Honey! Mistyeve

I also like's Arlene's suggestion that tolerance was the lowest from of love.
I have a low tolerance for pain. When I get my teeth cleaned I ask for happy gas. When i passed a kidney stone in the Er I screamed for them to make it quit hurting for a couple of hours. They kept giving me shots until i passed out. (and luckily the stone PASSED! )
But most other things i tolerate. I dont tolerate unacceptable behavior, but i DO tolerate things I cannot change such as trafcic, rude clerks, long lines, etc. Those are everyday things that I have learned to accept instead of gripe about.
I won't toloerate a man hitting me. I wont tolerate a gun being put to my head. I wont tolerate a cussing for somethign I never did. I used to not tolerate when I was lied to. Today I tell them I dont appreciate being lied to, but I don't go off on them like I used to.
tolerance is a skil I had to practice until I learned. it did not come easy.
Anf John...be thankful your yearly check-up does not include STIRRUPS or machines that are similar to cold metal vices. LIN

Dear Lin---That is a good way to look at it:Tolerance is a skill! I like that a lot. It makes sense to me just like typing is a skill and the more I do it the better I get at it. Thanks for stopping by! Its good to hear from you------Mistyeve

Have much more tolerance of others than I do for myself. At the moment, not too much tolerance for doctors.
Patiently trying to wait for upcoming tests and visits to specialist. I see the heart specialist on the 28th and the kidney specialist on the 25th.
One day at a time, I am learning to be more tolerant and accepting of where I am at.
