I am going on a all women's retreat this weekend so I am gonna post Friday--Saturday--& Sunday chips. I will be back on Sunday afternoon sometime. I am proud of this column and don't want to leave anyone high and dry for a chip. I will keep chipping away and hope you do too! Are you proud or humble? Please let me know!!!

Thanks for the heads up. Once when you did this I posted the top chip and then the others i had somehow MISSED...and then all wekend I had no chips. LOL
Pride and humility? I take pride in most of what I do and who i am. I take pride in my accomplishments, but TRY to be humble about them. Once in a while I jsut can't help myself to be boastful. Example...whem my dog got his photo in a national calendar I had to show everybody i saw. That's not being very humble. Pride is being show offy and haughty. Tha'ts now who I am...but Like I said. Once in a while.....lol

I take pride in the things I have acomplished sober when I was drinking the only thing I acomplished was failure and lots of trouble. Good luck on your retreat and have a safe trip, I am sure you will get alot of serenity this weekend!

This is a good thought for today. Was sharing last night with a friend online about false pride and how the ego can get in our way. It is important to take pride in myself today, but I must be humble and remember it wasn't just me that got me here.
No matter how long I am in recovery, I must always remain teachable. When I am not, I stop growing.
The weekend sounds great, please share on how it was for you. That is something I have yet to do in recovery, I have never been to a retreat.
