I clsoed my eyes and pointed to the list and this is the one I got. Is that the same as DRAWING out the chip? lol
I guess I needed to pull this one. Last nigth we went to a wedding. The wedding was beautiful. The receptions was quite lavish. The band was AWESOME. I totally LOVe to dance. I wanted to dance last night so badly. but there sat my husband with a broken leg. He DID get up and slow dance twice, but he can barely walk, so Doing a fast dance was out of the question. I woudl nto ask somebody else's husband to dance. I did ask a 5th grade boy I had taught and it scared him so badly he stood behind his mother the rest of the evening. LOL So i went away knowing we'd had a wonderful evening but poor little me did not get to dance. I need to swell on the POSITIVE things I did last night. (new outfit, new hairdo, excellent meal, i got to be a part of a very special neighbor's ceremony, i saw some people i ahd not seen in ages...etc. So i can jsut chalk it up that I had no dance partner.
There was a sad thing that happened last night though. During the pre-ceremony photos a ballast caught fire and the fire department had to come and clear the smoke...and during the phtoos betweent he ceremony and the reception the groom's grandmother fell off the steps where they were again taking photos. An ambulance had to come and take her to the hospital. None of his family got ot be at the reception because they were at the hospital. Grandmother has a broken leg. Thinking of thes it makes me ashamed that i was feeling negative that I did nto get to dance.

There is positive to find in every situation, even when it does appear negative. When there is a negative situation I always try to find the positive. No matter what the situation, if I didn't use people, places or things to get through it, it is always positve thing.
You have more restraint than I have Lin, I would have been asking. Often the women here get up and dance together on fast dances when the husbands cop out for any reason.

I thougth abut it. I even thougth about cutting in on somebody i knew such as the groom or the father of the bride. But I honestly felt I'd be rubbing it in my husbands face that he was not able to dance because of his leg. it was like I dont want to have a good time in front of him while he sits and watches. (same reason I drank soda last night where the wine, beer, mixed drinks were free...I drank a $1.50 soda...LOL)

Good topic. Sometimes I get stuck in the positive thinking, frusterated trying to get through the negative thinking.

Positive thinking/ negative thinking
Oh boy can a medical emergency bring out the negative thinking. What if that? and What if this? Knowing too much of the possiblities can make everything look all doom and gloom. (former nurse trained in learning the complications and possibilities of an illness LOL)
Hubby went into the hospital with a very large DVT (blood clot) in his leg. My own fears of what could have happened clouded my thoughts. What if the clot breaks off? What if he has a stroke? What if he (God forbid) dies?
Well after some much needed food and a fairly decent night's sleep, and a whole bunch of praying. What if he's OK ? Change that negative attitude right around. We are doing what we should be doing. He is in the hospital under medical care and God's care ... so now I am powerless over what what God's has planned for him. Just gonna let God handle this one.
Love & God Bless lildee
