The reading today reminded me that I have a reason to be grateful for my disease. It brought me to the doors of recovery. It wasn't until that friend turned and became my enemy and I could no longer use safely, that I sought help. If I didn't have this addiction I wouldn't have qualified for the 12 Step Programs of Recovery. No matter what addiction raised it's head, the tools were there to help me in my recovery. As they say, It is a tool that fits all nuts who walk through the door. There is no reason to bolt from the rooms because there is something for everone here if we are willing to search it out. In today, I am a grateful addict. I don't have to use today. I am as happy as I choose to be. I have freedom from the bondage of self and today I don't need 'some' person, place or thing to make me feel better. eor.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=spuds&thread=8438Attachments:

Put some gratitude into my attitude. Don't just say it, show it!
