Knowing that action is always possible, that passive acceptance of any condition need never be necessary are unconditional gifts of living the Twelve Step program.
Each Day A New Beginning
This is taken out of context, I hesitate quite often to put the link in because I know it will not last beyond today.
I like the first sentence. Making the decision to do nothing, to ignore something, is an action.
Until I can find some kind of acceptance for what is in the moment, seldom can I move forward. As I shared at the meeting last night, for every situation in my life there is a Step that can help take me to where I need to be, take me out of where I am at, or lead me in the direction that I need to go, even if it means staying where I am at, until the lesson is learned.
When the time is right, I will know the right aciton. Until I do, I just need to stay in the moment and do what ever is in front of me. Each day, as I turn things over to my Higher Power, more will be revealed. God is as He reveals Himself to me. When I work the Steps, He reveals Himself and the Good Orderly Direction that I need each day to live clean and sober in today, and not have to go back to those yesteryears.

When the time is right, I will know. Sometimes the right action is no action, especially if I don't have that inner knowing. If I don't have that knowing, then it is up to me to go to my God and ask for it. It will be given to me, even if the action is to take no action. Attachments:
