HI! I just returned from the gym. Hopefully he will want to go later and I can go again. I have a manicure this morning and he has a massage. Not sure the rest of our day.
the Louisville trip was good. Baby Girl whined and whimpered for about the first hour and some of the second hour. On the way home we never heard a peep out of her! I think she was thinking we were going to leave her over night like we had to do twice before. And once she realized we had left the doctor and were coming back, she settled down. Dogs are smart like that sometimes!
Question of the day...what's your favorite dinosaur? I always loved dinosaurs. When I was little there was a gas station called Sinclair and the logo was a smiling green dinosaur. I loved watching the movies like Jurassic park where they had animated models of dinosaurs. I have many favorites..but I will say T-Rex. The tyrannosaurus was called "tyrant lizard". He was big and mean and feared. I also liked many of the gentle plant eaters.

Hi Lin---Glad to hear your dog behaved for the most part. YES! they are very intelligent and remember stuff. I have to say that I admire your willingness to go to the gym not once but twice!!! We will be amazed.... I remember that green dinosaur from the Sinclair gas station. He was hard to miss! My favorite dinosaur would have to be Dino from the cartoon show the Flintstones. LOL He was so cool how when they went to the drive in movie they would put the 2 kids on his head so they could see better! He also created a "sun roof" in Fred Flintstone's car!!! He was a very cool dinosaur!!! Dino has my vote!!!-------Bunnypie

YES! Dino would be so glad to see Fred when he came home he would knock him down and lick him like crazy! I also liked how Pebbles would slide down his back like he was slide! I always thought that the Flintstones & the show the Honeymooners were kind of similar. Fred Flintstone reminded me of Jackie Gleason and Wilma with the red hair and how she wouldn't take any crap off Fred was like Audrey Meadows. They were Alice & Ralph Kramden in the Honeymooners comedy show.........classic tv!!!

Glad your trip went well Lin. I good question, I never watched Barney, but I liked that he was purple, one of my favourite colours. There were some strange dinosaurs and it is sad, that something so big, could become extinct and just disappear. They say it was because of the environment. I too liked Dino, I did see some of their shows.
It was a long day and had to come home and have a nap. My appointment was for 11:20 a.m. and I didn't get in to see the doctor until 12:10 p.m. He sent me for blood tests and a test for an ultrasound on my left ankle and hip. I go on February 6th.
When I got back uptown, I went to Denninger's to get their strawberry preserves, then I went to the library and 3 books that I had ordered had come in; and then I went to the $1.; then I treated myself to lunch at the Nation's Food buffet. I did a little grocery shopping, cam home and napped for 3 1/2 hours. Didn't sleep well last night because of a muscle spasm that wouldn't go away, hurt in the doctor's office and it was only when I walked in the mall, that I could get it worked out. My leg is still tender.
I felt really sad, was wondering if I should have come straight home instead of going to the mall, because I didn't see anyone I knew at the mall.
I bought a 649 Lotto ticket the other day and my son said, "Don't forget me." I said, "I don't want to see you kill yourself. He said, "Perhaps you should only give it to me so much a month." No sign of willingness in that statement. I won a free ticket when I checked it today. Now the jackpot is $18 million, not something I would be able to spend in my life time. I can only see giving a lot of it away, money is the root of all evil they say, but 'some' makes life go a little bit better, so it would be spent helping family and friends.
Hope your day was a good one.

LOL! Don't buy them all the time. Don't expect to win, yet when I get the thought and they are there, I will buy one. I did have a problem with Nevada Tickets and had to apply my program and ask my God to take the obsession from me.
Ironically, I won quite often when I was using. My landlord asked me to buy him a birthday beer. I said, "I have already bought you a couple of birthday beers, but I do have enough to buy you a glass of draft and me a couple of rye and coke. When we sat down, I said, "I have a $1. left, if you go up and buy a couple of Nevada tickets, we'll close the Legion down. He got a $50. winner and we closed the place down. Another time I was leaving to go away to Provincial Darts, only had that last $1. and won $25. and had extra spending money while I was away. The kind of things that keep you going back and forgetting how much your win cost you.

LOL Hey Jo---Do you think that might be why they call it Gambling??? I have gambled with my life and my sobriety so many times that I don't feel like I need to add lottery tickets to it! Oh I have bought scratch & match lottery tickets as Christmas stocking stuffers and when they turned out as losers I use them for book marks! LOL so it is not a total loss but that sure is an expensive book marker! ----Bunnypie

Smiling, I know it is gambling. That is why I only allow myself a few tickets on pay day. I never spend more than $5. most times it is only $3. I see the seniors in my building so caught up in the scratch tickets and they go off to the casino regularly.
I had a guy call me at 11 p.m. to see if I wanted to go to the Niagara Casino. I went, and I could feel the buzz the moment I walked in the door. I thought, "This is not a good place for me. Luckily I was ahead $14. when I got home. Even luckier still, I made the decision to never go back to another one. The reason I applied the program to my love of Nevada tickets, it is applicable to all types of addiction.

YES! I was told that AA-NA-GA- & OA are the 4 big addiction programs that use the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous but there are so many others...The 12 steps can be used for so many different problems/addictions!!!-----Bunnypie

You are right, CA uses the AA Big Book as it's basic text. There are over 100 programs that use the 12 Steps.

There was a Sex Anonymous meeting held in the same room we held the group Freedom of Recovery that I started. They moved to a more private location, because the room was in an apartment building.
My sponsor had been to EA and the material helped me. I am not sure if it is posted here or not, I know I posted it on another site.
