In today's reading, it affirmed my day and spending my money.
I went where I knew there was a health care section of a drug store only to find it was closed. I ended up getting a couple of pocket books and Kleenex on sale for 69 cents so bought three.
The big I decided to go to the cafeteria where my aunt use to live to have lunch. Nothing I liked so had a bowl of cauliflower/broccoli soup, which was only so so and didn't tempt my taste buds.
I went from there to Denninger's which is a bigger store than the one in the mall that I normally go to. I ended up getting two bags of chocolate for Christmas presents for my bridge partners. They are in the closet and I will need to forget that they are there.
The bus was right there so got on it, and just as I got on the bus, I noticed a Health Care Store and almost got off but thought, "Oh the bus is here, so I'll get on and I can come another day." The voice continued in my head to go to the store so got off the bus and walked four blocks back. It ended up the booster seat I wanted was on sale for $20. less than I priced at the other store. They also had Tender Tootsie navy velour slippers on for $39.95 on sale. Merry Christmas to me!
I walked to the Forbidden City to treat myself for listening to my Higher Power, for the money saving deals that I got, and had Chinese Food (lemon chicken, chicken with vegetables, chicken fried rice, chicken/shrimp spring roll, and wonton soup), part of which I brought home to go with my pork chop I plan to cook for tonight's dinner.
The bus I was on, goes to the Go Station so decided to stay on it instead of going to the mall. I picked up my bus schedules and walked to the corner and the bus came along and I had to walk 3 1/2 blocks home. If I had wanted to weight 15 minutes a bus would have gotten me closer, and I would have only had to walk a block.
When I left home this morning, I asked for help and the good orderly direction I needed for today. The help is there if you ask for it. You just have to be willing to listen.
