When I read this yesterday, I thought, if my disease affects all areas of my life, that means I have to work the Steps in all areas of my life.
I have to look at all addictions from a mental, spiritual and physical viewpoint.
In today, I am using the Steps toward my eating disorder and my chronic pain. I have been having problems cooking meals and have thrown out a lot of food as a result. I am too sore or tired to cook and often end up eating unhealthy things and in a unhealthy manner.
Today was a day of pain. I kept asking myself, what can I do to let it go. In the past, I would have doubled up on the pills. Instead, I had to double up on my prayers.
