I've told this story a few other times in my home groups. I'd read a story about someone findinga penny on the ground and thinking of a deceased relative thinking of them. So, I started to pick up a penny when, i found one on the ground. istead of thinking of a late family member, i started to read the IN GOD WE TRUST. Everytime my life was getting hectic finding a penny has been a God send. Last fall i attendd a U Of I football game. I was pretty much overwhelmed by the amount of partying outside of the stadium. I was sitting in my seat feeling a little bit uncomfortable . When, I left for a soda at half time i was thinking God i sure could use a penny. When, i got back to my seat a penny was ther in my seat. 60,000 seats and a penny was on my seat. I didn't have any change whatsover in my pockets. I take my miracles however i get them

Comes and goes. step 11 is a work in progress. We can easily be distracted by earthly problems. Family, work, friends etc. can easily make us forget who makes the sun come up each morning. Life is better starting off on ones knees in the morning and closing each day that way. We shouldn't ever forget that. i do like the saying, If God puts you to it, God will put you through it. That has left a lasting impression in my mind. Sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly. I never even realized it had materialized. One day you sit and reflect, hey life is good today. After, you come to the realization, your 24 hours is what you make of it. God gives it to us to do what we will. I just have to make sure it's God's will.

I am constantly amazed in sobriety how the simple things can have so much significance today. Finding you guys, this site ...for example. Thank you for being my 'penny' whenever I look for e/s/h online.
