Most of you know the drill: "We have a chip system . . ." I no longer only carry a chip with me, I actually carry a pocket-sized version of the Big Book. I put it my my hip pocket where I used to have my wallet (that way, I figure, if I ever get the notion to go the beer/liqour store, I will be certain to encounter AA for sure). See, I had become "clever" enough to be able to carry a(whatever color) chip with me & basically ignore it. I doubt seriously I can do that with a Big Book. Not only that, it has the added bonus of my being able to read something I need at a moment's notice, whenever or wherever. If anyone here can find a pocket-sized version (it took a long while for me), I would humbly suggest that you obtain it. Thanks for the forum & feedbacks!!!!

Now THAT--is a cool suggestion!..... I think I can give that gift away tonight when I get to meet up with a pigeon! Consider that 'passed on' in Iowa! *hugs*

Sounds like a plan, I have "The Anonymous Press Mini Edition of Alcoholics Anonymous" and it was given to me by a friend. It has a red cover and is the same size as the pocket version of the Big Book.
I always carry my newcomers tag along with my 13 year tag, because I can never forget that all I have is today. As my friend says "Whenever she goes into a meetings she is a newcomer, nothing more, nothing less."
