One of the gifts of the program is that even though there is chaos and turmoil around me, I can take a time out, and find peace. I have always said, "This would be a much nicer world to live in if someone made their space the best space it can be in today. A little smile spread around. A helping hand offered. I few please and thank yous extended to others. When I can make things right with me and my God, clean my own house, then I can extend the blessing I receive to others. That doesn't mean they will be accepted, but I am the better for the doing. As the slogan says, "Let it begin with me." it isn't about what the other person is doing. It is about how I am working my own recovery. It is a 24 hour program, not 2-4 hours a day. eor.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=spuds&thread=11033&page=1Attachments:

Thank you for sharing. Letting go of the clutter of the body, mind and spirit is a definite process.
It amazes me how much stuff is still left over after I throw stuff out!
