You don't want me posting readings and yet when I signed in tonight 3 people are in that section reading, yet nothing was posted today. They go back to old ones and look at the topics to find something that they need in today.

Caressa, please post where I have told you that no daily
readings are allowed.... I have requested that you not post
quite so many, but have never said daily reading can not
be put up.

I am not sure between all of the 12 step groups how many
daily reading there are to be found. It is my personal belief
that it is unnecessary to post ALL OF THEM! I love to post
poems that I find are truly heartfelt, but I try to not post
them every day or post 3 in a row just because "I get daily
inspiration and food for thought" from them.

When we went through the latest "war on cut and paste"
Max agreed it should be allowed in moderation. The term
he used was "less is more"... I would like to add the following
that I posted.....

"When we are aware that others are uncomfortable with
something we are or are not doing, be willing to listen.
Take into consideration that your "great idea" may not feel
that way to others"....

There is a section set aside for posting the "daily readings",
but doing it in moderation would be a good thing in my
opinion. There are three posts going in the "poems and
prayer section" and I think that is just wonderful... they are
tiny little bits of spiritual inspiration that most anyone could
use.

I've posted in the Alanon section from the ODAT book,
but what I post was only the Today's Reminder" it gave
me a chance to write about how it affect my life or recovery.
My personal belief is that people come to read our ESH...
They want to do how I can keep my serenity with an
active alcoholice in my life.

There are days that I have less to say and days where
I find a lot to share about. I am not obsessed with filling
the boards just for the sake of putting it up there.

I have tried to explain why one might come in and
find 7 or 8 people in any given section.... And I'm either
not explaining it well or it's all a figment of my imagination!
The IP address on these 8 people are all the same!!!!!!

To all of you, post the daily readings..... but use a little
restraint! Post a pretty poem you read, but use a little
restraint! If an article that you just know would be of
great worth to all of us.... and it is a VERY LONG please
post it in sections maybe, breaking it up in parts! When
I read from the 50 most recent posts and a foot and a
half is all one post I don't get anything from it.

This is not my site and I am not the boss.... It's our
site, but my job is to make sure things are running the
way they should be. In the past we have lost some
very wonderful long time members over this topic. I
don't ever want to see that happen again and am
hopeful that we can build it up and encourage them
to come home....

To all of you reading, please share your thoughts
on this and let me know what you're thinking. It's never
been about not cut and pasting, it's all about how much
you are putting out there. "Less is More"....

I am not embarrassed. You told me to post the readings elsewhere.

You told me to put the reading in reading and I did. You and BW are allowed to post quotes on the board but when I posted the Recovery Eporium in other sections but Readings I get told not to post them.

I post things and you change them. I posted a topic which was a discussion on a Step that was Al-Anon and you moved it to the Steps. I post step discussion for Codependency in Steps and you move it to General Recovery. I posted a notice that the reading was being moved at the request of management and you deleted it. The post had been linked to Facebook. I had the owners endorsement to do that.

If you look back you told me to post the readings elsewhere, and today you post one. Please make up your mind so the rest of us know what you are doing.

You like to do research, I don't have the time or inclination. I just know what I read, unless you have deleted it.

You said to post the readings elsewhere on the other sites that I post on. Not an exact quote but close enough.

You copy and paste on ALL your posts and yet when I do it, it is forbidden. I posted the Recovery Equorium seperately so people could discuss them if they had a thought speak to them and they could share it if they wanted.

I never thought of volumn of posts. If I am the only one posting, it only stands to reason my name is on the board. It is great when you and Lin share. It doesn't have to be a response to what I post, I am not looking for that, although it is nice when people do.

I think this whole thing is silly and unmeaningful! I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill. All I try to do is post material on the site for the many visitor to the site. They are visitors not spammers, they are from the links at Facebook.

The really nice thing is that there are comments on Facebook even if there are no posts made here. The work that is done here is appreciated 'outside' of the group and people keep coming back and for that I am grateful.

Except for a reading that I wish to share on in one of the other sections, I will not post readings here any more. That will cut down on the 'number' of posts I make. I really think you are on an ego trip if you want me to be truly honest.

Our prmary purpose is to carry the message to the addict who still suffers. People in Nar-Anon and Al-Anon, also have the disease of addiction. I qualify for both sides of the street.

I enjoy recovery. It gives me purpose in life. It makes me feel good to share with others. It helps me to get out of self and my pain. The last time I said that you told me it was ''Bullnutse"

Let us please define, what is copy and paste? Is it just readings? Is it the poems and prayers that you post. The daily spiritual posts perhaps. God calling and Hour to Hour also qualify. Is it the quotes we put in our individual posts and/or the pictures we use.

The real problem here is me posting too often. I would like to know why. I try to post things at different times of the day unless I am going away for the day. Anything I post has my name attached, it seems as though your obsession is 'Caressa' not copy and paste.

I really think you need to deal with this. If you truly want, I will leave the site. I would hate to do because this place has been my home base before you came back here and since. Even when you banned me before for copying and pasting readings on the site, I came back. That was my mistake it seems. No one was posting and sharing. I used the readings for topics of discussion to help people who came to the different sections. I even typed them by hand as I had no scanner and didn't know how to access a lot of them on line.

Perhaps I should put Caressa to rest and post in my own name, would that make for a better solution.

I phrased that badly! Caressa please show me the post I made,
telling you not to post any daily readings! I have complained
about where you posted them, and have complained about how
many, but never have I said DO NOT POST DAILY READINGS in
the section that is provided for posting daily readings.

I have to stop now and make dinner and Honey is looking for
some quality one on one time. Took my dog to the vet and
I'm waiting for blood work results, so far no new is good news.

I'll try to post more tomorrow and answer a little more of your
post. Caressa you take care of yourself and have a good visit
with your sister.

Hmmmmm.... If it makes you feel better to think your
eye sight problems would be good news for me, that's
on you my dear. You have been a good loyal member
of EOR for many years and have been faithful about posting.
My only complaint toward you was to "please stop flooding
the boards with "cut and paste". There are a multitude of
site's that post the daily readings.... I love to read any and
all posts where ESH is shared! Or take a quote from a reading
and share your thoughts on it.

This was Tuesday's check in. I was not refering to you thinking that my eyesight was good news but to the fact that if I couldn't see, I couldn't post.

Again, I see no reason why I need to take something 'out of context' and not see the whole picture. Just my thinking, perhaps it is because I am an alcohlic that you have the problem.

This journey of recovery is NOT about control stuff...It is suggested to surender and allow Hp to control and guide us.

tradition 2 states For our group there is but one ultimate authority-a loving God as He may express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants; they do not govern.

I think it may be time to turn all this over to Hp and listenh...really listen to His guidance and remember we are ONLY trusted servants

I would hate to see EOR fold due to infighting and chaos and yes what appears to be similar to a cat fight. Another traditon states our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion. this infighting and sideways anger stuff is not at all attractive.

The reason I took this discussion public was, I had 9 private
messages on this and nothing was resolved....

Max appointed me moderator and I would gladly turn this
job over to anyone willing to take it. I put this post here in
order to get a group consensus. I have no desire other than
to make the most people happy the majority of the time.

A decision Max made, changed the one cut and paste per day
rule he had in effect. It seemed unfair to me... But in one day
I counted 30 Caressa, and it seemed like you must be in some
sort of mania. I apologize if I offended you by asking you to
stop flooding the boards! As long as I am moderator, I will
continue to try to moderate the boards, not as a dictator but
try to take all people into consideration.

Caressa if you would like to contact Max and ask to be put
in charge, go for it and God bless you for it! I will attempt to
find some sort of order to all this, but please know I am willing
to step down if Max will appoint you.

I just got in on the tale of this discussion. I for one get turned off when a whole reading is quoted. I prefer "shares from the heart". A quote to get that shares started seems fair to me. But I agree that long daily readings and such should jsut be in that section and I'll stay away from that one.

I have had some problems lately and did not get here to post as often as I'd like, but I still try to get here art least once a day.

If i was a newcomer to this site or any other site, I'd want to read what the memebrs had to say. If I wanted to read what an author said, I'd read the book myself.

It's just my opinion. I know Caressa has alot to offer and so does Sunnygirl adn BW. I enjoy reading everything all of you ladies post. I consider all three of you my friends adn dont wish to hurt anybody's feelings. IT's jsut how I feel about all of the readings. I'd rather read something from the ehart. I guess that's why I like the ABC abd check in daily....those are usually jsut from the heart.
