'The choice is up to you. It can either be 'Good morning, God!' or 'Good God, morn-ing.'
~Dr. Wayne Dryer, Everyday Wisdom
Choice, not chance, determines my day.
- Pocket SponsorI am granted freedom of choice. My God brings me to it, He will see me through it, but it is my choice whether I choose to follow Him or go my own way. When I am grounded in today, for me that is choice. If I have one foot in yesterday and the other one already heading for tomorrow, I miss out on today and I am taking a chance as to whether I get through it. Just for today, I choose not to use. Just for today, I choose to stay clean and sober, no matter what. I choose my God, He is much better qualified to guide my life. I didn't make such a good job of it, when I tried to make a go of it my way. Attachments:

When I read this, I had to chuckle. Was it chance or God's choice that I ran into two Al-Anon members while waiting for my bus today. I was really feeling bad and didn't want to pass on my germs and came home, had lunch and went to my bed.
I told one member that I had the flu shot and that I had gotten the flu as a result. She said, "They say that doesn't happen and is false." True or not, I got something. I am glad we have the meeting here on Wednesday. Two meetings in a day doesn't hurt me. If I miss my noon meeting, I know I can always come here, no matter how I feel. If I wasn't in my bed, I would be sitting at the computer any way.
I have a choice as to what I do with my life. Things may come up by chance, whether it is life on life's terms or God doing intervention, it is up to me as to what I do with it.

Over the years my God has continued to put people on my path, and I have always felt very blessed.
Just Yesterday I was waiting for the stop light on my way home and my best friend pulls up beside me and beeps her sweet horn. She lives across town from me and had a neighbor stop by at her place before I left.
Today I was told I had a 20-30 wait for Darts today, and just as I walked outside, my cell phone rang it was my friend Deb. What made it special is she lives across the hall from me and seldom get to see her. I look on it all as being doubly blessed by my God.
