C is for Courage. It comes from my Higher Power. Without His Good Order Direction, I wouldn't have the courage to face the day without some kind of crutch.

E is for Easy Does It - but do it! Our disease didn't happen over night, it took us a long time to get to where we are at. We can't erase all those problems and edit our thinking in just a few months or years.

G is for Grace. God's grace. Growing up we always said Grace before a meal. I am guilty of not always saying it when I am alone, it always seemed to be something you did with others. It is something I need to do daily. Attachments:

I is for Ideal. The ideal program is go to meeting, get a group, get a sponsor and get active in service. Ideally you work on the Steps with your sponsor and you will no longer have to indulge in outside 'things' to fill that empty void. Attachments:

M is for Me. It reminds me that I need to take care of me and not focus on the alcoholic/addict. I must remember that I have this disease too, and it is about my disease and my character defectsl I had to change old patterns and habits, no more "after me, you come first." No more, "what's in it for me, I deserve honorable mention." The selfish self-centered attitude has to go. Attachments:

O is for Open. We need to open our minds and hearts to things other than our own way of thinking. When we open the flood gates, we let out the negative and the tears come and we are healed. We can let in the positive, because when we shut down, we block ourselves off from the Spirit of God. Attachments:

Q is for Quiet. It took a long time to be in the quiet alone with myself. Always had to have music and noise on and it is a miracle in itself to walk in and hear no TV or music and the computer is off, but it does happen.
