EOR has been blessed with so many wonderful members. It is the newcomers that keep me fresh in my recovery! And willing to "keep coming back" !
It is our "Old Timers", that share what they have been given, that keeps the new ones coming here to EOR. It is your experience, strength and hope, that helps the them to be willing to work on their recovery......
In the beginning, I came to Essence of Recovery, for the Nar-Anon meetings, I have now found a home for my online recovery. I miss the old-timers, I miss your ESH and I miss talking with you. I wonder how you are and how you're doing ? ? ? Keep Coming Back...... You are in my thoughts and prayers!
Hugs, ~SG~ meetings

This is a problem I have had over the years in my own recovery. A co-sponsor (because she had been staff at the Recovery House I went to) said, "Stick with the old timers!" I said, "Where are they!"
If you went to certain groups, which were there home group, you never saw them. I travelled from one end of the city to the other for my recovery. So many faces are missing, so many people not in the rooms any more.
I hope they haven't relapsed or substituted "sobriety" for being "sober" and I am not sure I would want to talk to them today if they haven't been going to meetings or in touch with people in the program. I have an ex-sponsor like that and it is really sad. She is a very bitter, hurting, and self-centered person. I pray that I never get to a stage in my recovery were I feel like I don't need people and meetings.

Mornin Caressa,
Thanks for the reply.....
Recovery is a way of life, I'm not sure I will ever be ready to, graduate!
A big part in my daily recovery work is reaching out to others and sharing what I've learned.
Hugs, ~SG~

Still missing oldtimers. It makes me sad when people can't give back to what helped them on their journey. I know there are circumstances, health problems, and issues that keep people away. I just want you to know that you are missed.
