One way to tell how well you are practicing the principles in all your affairs is to notice how you treat people who can be of no service to you.
I go out of my way to be kind to the very next person I encounter, regardless of what they can or cannot do for me.

Put this in here because it applies to all substances and all fellowships. Whether our addiction is alcohol, street or prescription drugs, food, relationships, people in our lives, gambling, codependency, etc., we have the Twelve Steps applicable in all the programs.
When I think of the principles, I think of taking the words of the pages of the literature and applying it to my life.
It has been my experience over the years, that many people do not know what the principles of the program are and seldom talk about them at meetings. How can you practice them if you don't know them. It is like the saying, "How can you know if you have never been taught?"
