Fear -or- Faith "Faith is not a storm cellar to which men and women can flee for refuge from the storms of life. It is, instead, an inner force that gives them the strength to face those storms and their consequences with serenity of spirit." - - Sam J. Ervin, Jr.Some of my fears are natural although if my faith was a little stronger I might not be afraid of snakes. Healthy fears do alert us in dangerous situations and it's normally considered wise for us to listen to them. Worry and fear go hand in hand and when I allow myself to fret and worry it can turn into fear and panic. In my heart I know that if my faith was strong enough I would never worry. Just knowing God is always present and He can see around corners, should allow me to be more certain that all will turn out OK. I know today, that the more my faith grows, the brighter my days become. The feeling of a closer relationship with HIM gives me comfort and hope even on the darkest days. Peace on the journey, SG

Had a real fear of storms. It was a healthy fear as our house was struck by lightning when I was five. The storms of life I seemed attracted to, maybe because they seemed normal and it was difficult to see things as dysfunctional, because they had been happening all my life. As the saying goes, I took me where ever I went. Thanks to the program, I learned to walk in faith.
