Food for Thought:
Do you eat when you are afraid? Many of us do. When we were babies, being fed brought the safety of our mother's arms. As adults, we subconsciously give food a sort of magic ability to ward off real or imagined danger.
Food was also a time to celebrate. If people came over, you had food. A lot of that was fear based. I went and volunteered at the Recovery House I went through in 1991. I cooked the girls their Sunday dinner while they had visitors. They would rave about my food, take second helping, and yet if it didn't meet my standards, I was fearful of putting it on the table and apologized for what it tasted like. Each meal consisted of a salad, dinner was potatoes, two vegetables, meat, and a dessert which you made. One time I made a pie, it was a request from one of the girls and I can't remember the kind. It was scared stiff because they had pastry flour and lard. I was sure it wouldn't turn out. I always used all-purpose flour and Crisco shortening. I almost made myself sick worrying about that pie. The pastry so was tender it was flakey, melt in your mouth good. As Osho says, enjoy the moment. Live in the moment and make the most of it and no matter what you do, it can be a moment of meditation and a connection with your God. Worry and fretting block you from God.
GET EXCITED! CELEBRATE IT! ENJOY EACH MOMENT!

For me, meal time is a good time. We try to eat healthy and when company joins us for dinner, I always hope that dinner is delicious, but I no long sweat the small stuff.
Have a wonderful day, SG

Face everything and recover or flee everything and run. You don't have to leave home. You can flee to food or a bottle of your favorite poison. It doesn't need to be alcohol.
