A is for Alive. Today I am alive. I have no guarantee that I still would be if I hadn't found recovery. Not only am I alive, I am living, no longer just surviving and marking time waiting for the day to end. In today, there are not enough hours in a day.

E is for Evaluate. Rate, judge, estimate, reckon your own inventory not someone elses. Look at your day, did you do the best you could, or did you evict yourself and turned yourself over to your Lower Power or did you surrender to your Higher Power and leave everything for his evaluation.

H is for Hope. When I walked into the rooms of recovery, I walked away with hope. I saw people clean and sober. I saw people who had long periods of time of sobriety. I had been trying for 8 years, and my way didn't work. I made the decision to stay, I wanted what they had.
