My favorite tradition is number 5. It reminds me that I have to reach out to newcomers and help support them during their journey.It also reminds me that we dont have to walk this journey alone.

Yes you just took it, hope I can have the same one as you. It gave me a purpose for being and staying in recovery. I couldn't find a reason for me to be sober, there seemed to be more people worthy than I was. I was told I had to go through what I had to go through what I went through to get to where I am in today, so I had a story to share with others. By sharing, I could give others hope from listening to my experience, and hopefully they will be able to tap into the Source of my Strength.

Just for Today's reading explains the 5th Tradition very well. It gave me purpose and a reason for living. I got to a stage in my life, prior to finding the doors of recovery where I wanted to stop the world and get off. I was no longer employable, could no longer do what I use to do, so what good was I and had no direction and purpose in my life. Getting involved in service saved my life.
