Do it anyway

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway. It was never about them anyway.

Good one Lin. Some people put labels on us and like to put us in boxes and fit us into little fixed moulds. I know that I broke them all for the most part. I know that gossip, jealousy and envy cause me to leave and leave and go where I felt comfortable, and to go to get right with myself and fight out who I was.

For most of my life, I wasn't shy, but I was lacking in self-confidence, and it didn't take much to break down the feeble strength of will I had developed in recovery. So grateful for the 12 Steps and the program that put me back together again.

So, so, grateful I found AA before I went to ACOA or I might have died as a result of my denial.
