Actually that is a good test for me. If I can do something for someone and them not knowing who did it. Than I know my motives are good. Now if I want to be thanked 27 times for it than I know my motives arn't worth a dern.

A few years a member stopped me on the street and said, "Tell your daughter thank you for mowing the yard at the club house." So I asked daughter if she did it. She said, "Yea. How did you know?" And I told her. She said, "Well you where in Texas and it needed mowing. So much for my anonymity." Daughter is not a member but of AA but when she was little I took her to a lot of open meetings.
