Sober
grateful that I am clean
How is I came this way I may never know but being thankful is important today.
I held on in desperation in the begining
asking for everything but patience,
I learned patience and everything else found it way to me,
I learned you never pray for patience unless you are willing to be tested.
Today I am sober and clean not because of me but because of people like you who are reading this post.

Thank you for this post. You never know when you respond to something or write something, who it will help. It may have been written a few months ago, but it helps me in today.

I needed the reminder that I am where I am suppose to be, nothing happens without a reason. I was looking forward to a Christmas Party tonight at a group I normall attend, but because I wasn't feeling good, I lay down at 4:30 p.m. and woke up at 8:45 p.m., two hours after I should have been there. My cabbage rolls are still in the freezer.

It is also a good reminder that if I ask for patience, I will get things to tolerate in order to practice it.
