Just for today, I will be grateful. I am grateful that this day shall soon pass and a new day will begin. I have a tentative date to meet up with a friend tomorrow, if my body will co-operate. It is one day at a time, what will be will be.

Just for today, I will surrender. I will try not to figure it out on my own, I will let go and let God. I was questioning why I couldn't sleep. Did a meditation with my angel cards. About 15 minutes later, I got the thought to call the pharmacy to see if my son could pick up my refill and return my blister pack for me and when I phoned, I found out that they had a script for an antibiotic. Here I was thinking I should be able to fix things and make things better, when all I had to do was surrender and the Good Orderly Direction was there to show me what I needed to do for myself, in today.

There is no doubt about getting it, it was either send my son if he was willing or have them deliver. I haven't felt better, in fact, today I have felt much worse. I think I should have had them a little bit earlier. It is a good thing I followed my thoughts and called the pharmacy instead of waiting for the doctor's office to contact me.
Not long out of my bed, came home today from my chiropractor's appointment. I went to my Al-Anon meeting but had to leave, felt to sick to stay. It was a real bummer because we had a newcomer.

Just for today, I will continue to take care of myself and give my body, mind and spirit what they need. I must always remember that my disease is four-fold and I need food on all levels in order to recover.

Oh Jo!---First Things First is a slogan I have to remember. I got to take care of myself first before I can take care of anyone else!!! I do understand what you are saying about leaving a meeting early. Once I get to a meeting I like to stay for the whole thing. It is real hard when my body betrays me and I have to cut "anything" short to go take care of myself. I hate having to get up from a sound sleep to go to the bathroom. It has to be done or there are "consequences" PLEASE take care of yourself!!! It is good to hear from you. Hope you will be feeling better real soon! The antibiotics will help sooooo much. I'm a Believer!!!----Bunnypie

Wondering if I have the right kind of antibiotics as I have been having stomach pains since I started taking them. I also think I have a sinus infection, so seeing as they are opposite ends of the spectrum, perhaps I need something else.

Just for today, I will practice acceptance. It is what it is, subject to change according to what is in the moment. In order to move forward, I must come to a place of acceptance or things can't change. The faster I am able to accept, the quicker things can change for my Higher Good.

Hey Jo!---I was told to take antibiotics WITH food. YES! they can give you horrible stomach pains. I found that out thru experience I have had antibiotics for when I got 5 teeth pulled and they were way different then the antibiotics I got when I had bronchitis. YES! there are different kinds for different stuff. I would double check with the pharmacy and/or the doctor to make sure. I was given too low of a dose of antibiotics when I had bronchitis and ended up having to get a double prescription because they were not strong enough. They really are a miracle drug when it is the right dose/mg. and also the right kind!!! Good Luck! It works if ya work it sober....Bunnypie

Just for today, I will try to do something productive. Have been too isolated and need to get out and then there is always laundry if I am looking for something to do. I gave my phone number to a woman and told her to call me if she wanted a game of cribbage. I just don't go down to the common room very often, and the purpose was for her to call me when she was going down or was feeling down. It is just not something I do and never have, I am an avid reader and sometimes it is hard for me to put my book down and 'do' something. I am more willing to do it for others than for myself, although yesterday I found myself doing just that, because I had buried my nose in a book for too long and needed to participate in my life, instead of getting involved in someone else's and excluding people in my life, be it on line or off line.

Hey Jo----Don't be so hard on yourself! Reading a book is a form of escape and there's nothing wrong with that! You have been sick and probably feel like an escape. If you are not boozing or using it is okay!!!---As Bunnypie Sees It

Yes but for me, to close myself off and isolate is using people, places, and things. When you read more than one book in a day, you have to look at why. It is about balance, even if I just stop and pick up the phone and call someone or take a walk down to the mall downstairs (I don't have to go outside) just for some exercise.
For so many years, I read so much and realized that I was caught up in other people's lives through books, which can be good, but I wasn't living my own life.

Just for today, I will do the do things I need for my health and well being. Went yesterday at noon and my pulse was 109 and my blood pressure was 145/60. I went down to check it at 5 p.m. and it read 188/100/83. Not a good sign, so will go and check it when the pharmacy opens at 10 a.m. I have had chest pains and pains in my arm, but the last time I went to the hospital, the doctor more or less said, "Why are you here, why are you wasting our time." It has been raining here, so it could be the Fibromyalgia. Who knows, more will be revealed? I will work my program to the best of my ability in today.

Glad that my blood pressure is lower, even if it isn't better. I think getting on the phone to my doctor first thing on Monday is called for. I have to go in for blood work for the heart specialist anyway, so maybe he can pick something up.
