I encountered your site and think it will help me detach with love from my addict son. I am involved in Alanon however, I think Nar anon is more appropriate since he is an addict. What I have found is that addicts tend to relapse faster and stronger and we need to be able to detach with love when that happens.I plan to check in everyday and learn to navigate your site. thanks. the prayers and information has already helped.

Thank you for sharing, I can identify as I too have a son in active addiction. It is not easy, tough love and detachment doesn't mean we don't love them. It is important to live our own lives and not put our life on hold, which I did for many years.
