Dear Lin,
Sorry I won't be able to be there. This was a hard lesson for me.
My sponsee called at noon and asked me to go with her to a new CA Women's Meeting that just opened up.
I had to utilize this topic yesterday. The director of the club feels like I don't qualify for the C class in the tournaments. My boyfriend doesn't know the rules of Standard American although he plays his cards well, and I never took the class she teaches on "Easy Bridge", and neither of us belongs to the ACBL so we can't collect master points. I found myself allowing her to lay a guilt trip on me, because of her comments I found myself guilty we came in first in the afternoon and the evening and feeling like I didn't have a right to accept it. We made some made bad errors, made some good bids, and played our hand well as a whole, in other words we were very human.

It was a good meeting and I am glad my sponsee cancelled so I could be there. I got to have a meeting after the meeting, so it was extra good for me. It is amazing, or should I say it is often a wonder, how the God of my understanding, brings me to exactly where I am suppose to me, when I need to be there, often inspite of myself.  |
