I am bruised & battered from surgery yesterday. I got a port installed for chemo treatments. I have a malignant cancer tumor and the medical people think chemo will help. Please pray that I can survive all the "pre-chemo" stuff that they have to do!  It is a long tedious process!!!------Bunnypie  |

I happen to like the 3rd Step Prayer from page 68 in the Big Book---God I offer myself to thee to build with me and to do with me as thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self that I may better do thy will. take away my difficulties that victory over them my bear witness to those I would help. of thy power. thy love. they way of life. May I do thy will always!!!

Like that prayer too but always follow it up with the 7th Step Prayer. I was toldd to note that the "Amen" didn't come at the end of the 3rd Step Prayer but at the end of the 7th and the two should be said together. I look at it as getting out of my God's Way so He can work in my life.

YES! I do say the 3rd & 7th step prayers together because they do seem to go together! The last line really gets me moving on the 7th step prayer "grant me strength as I go out from here to do your bidding" I was told the word AMEN means "so be it" in Hebrew and that makes a lot of sense to me.....Bunnypie  |

Lord,
Today is a new day, and I do not yet know what this day will bring. Regardless of what cards may be dealt to me this day, I will work to remain aware of my choices. Help me this day to remain aware of my thinking, attitudes and behaviors. Give me courage to deal with my emotions in a healthy way. Let me always be understanding of the needs of others.

YES! to deal with emotions in a healthy way is a very good goal to strive for! My emotions have been all over the place and it gets real exhausting and draining........Baffled Bunnypie
