I had a warning on my computer of a Malicious Trojan Virus. The computer went black and I had to do a hard boot to get it back up. I did an advanced disinfection and a full scan which took over 2 hours. I made it back here to let people know that I may not continue to do this column. I can't risk my computer crashing/dying. I have been very active praying and trying to get it to come back to life. I will try to talk to some hi tech people and not be lazy about getting a 2nd opinion. I do enjoy doing the chip of the day but not at the risk of my computer being damaged or crashed. I just wanted to let anyone know in case I can't make it back. I don't want to leave anyone wondering WTF happened. I hate when that is done to me so I am trying to not do it back to anyone else! Thanks for the memories!!!   (kiss goodbye) Bunnypie |

What area were you in when you got the notice of a virus. I have never ran into this problem and I have been all over the board. I reported your findings to Max, and hopefully he will find out what is wrong. Hope you will be able to come back, if not now, but in the future when all is well. In keeping with the topic. I have had my computer scanned & checked. I am very nervous & paranoid about coming to the site because I don't want to risk having my computer crash. I wanted to stop by to say I am not sure what is going on......Nervous Bunnypie

Well I haven't had any virus warnings in a very long time, and if they show up, my anti-virus blocks its from my computer. I have been going back and reading old posts and have not had a virus pop up. The next time you find something, if you do, please send me a private message so I can contact Max so he knows where to delete the post so it doesn't happen again. Sometimes it is a picture that has expired and the link is no longer valid.

The tech who looked at my computer thought it could be one of the pop up ads hiding a trojan virus. He wasn't sure either but he did find a temp. file with a history of malicious trojan virus in it. The one virus on July 31st put my computer down for several hours. The screen went black and it was dead! I was so lucky to bring it back from the dead with scans and plugging and unplugging the computer. It scared the hell outta me!!! I just am trying to be real careful and cautious.......Bunnypie

Can't help you much if you don't tell us what part of the site you found the virus. I have had notices before a long time ago, but nothing recent. I have been looking at old post in all sections, although not so much in the Coffee Shop. Hope you will be able to continue posting the chip of the day.  |

It is Wed. 8/3/16 and I am taking a chance posting. I am suppose to talk to the tech this morning about if he can find the virus and if it is on the site or in my computer. If it is in my computer I will get it removed and be confident about doing the chips again. I am glad that you and LIN have not had any problems. I don't wish problems with computers on anyone!!! It is a serious issue and I am doing what I can to resolve it. The fact that you have not run into any problems does NOT mean that it didn't happen. I will try to check back and let you know.....Bunnypie

Glad you are gettiing help. Did you find 1 virus or three?
I did get some dishes done. I planned to do more but started to get chest pains, so had to quit. My son came in about 8 o'clock and washed my floors for me. I am very grateful as he has a hot job working out in the heat and it is hot and often dirty work that sticks to you in the heat. He is getting such a gorgeous tan. He works off any fat and I get fat looking at what he eats.

I love a clean mopped floor! I am a barefoot person around the house and walking on a clean floor feels so good on my feet! Did you get him to move those cases of water? I hope so! It sounded like they were in the way and you don't want to accidently trip over them!----Bunnypie
