Friday August 5th, 2016 Chip Love/Hate

I love the fact that my computer has been fixed. I hate that there is a virus in the coffee shop area under the Thursday Hi area for July 21st as the last post. I hate that I almost got in trouble and was infected AGAIN! I try to not make the same mistake twice. I would love to see that problem removed!!! I would hate to have to not be able to use this site because of a problem that I am not able to fix......Bunnypie

I love it when you do the chips, but I hate it when you don't talk recovery. I went to the area you mentioned and there were no signs of a virus. I got no warnings and I click on several. I have been all over the boards and have found nothing. I hope to go back into some old Chipping Away shares from the past, hopefully they are not infected.

Not sure what the problem is, I sent Max two messages. I would suggest you send a private message to him and let him know what you found and where you found it each time if you can remember. I sure don't like having you stressed and upset at this time in your life. You don't need that. Love you lots, take care of you.

I am not hi tech and have had my computer checked out by someone who is. They deleted the virus and it came back. I have a desk top computer. It might detect virus more then a notebook does??? I am not sure! I can't risk my equipment blowing up. I was trying to warn anyone so they don't damage their equipment. I am sorry you doubt what I am saying. I am very upset and will have to just give up on this site. I wish you well.------Devastated Bunnypie

I am not doubting what you are saying. I am just saying that I went to the posts indicated and I did not get a warning of any virus. I don't want you to go back and check it out. I thought you had found the virus in an old post, I didn't realize it was from a current one.

I have asked that the site be scanned, can do no more. Don't put words in my mouth. I did not say I didn't believe you. I went to where you said, even though it could have jeopradized my own computer. I think that some of the old links and pictures that are no longer working could hold a virus. I am not techie enough myself to know these things. I leave it to the powers that be.
