Wednesday October 5th, 2016 Chip Responsible/Irresponsible

I am responsible to get to my appt. today for the MRI a little early so I can fill out papers. The actual MRI will be the indication of showing the cancer surgeon the exact size and location of the tumor. She will use this information when she does surgery. She is responsible for getting the tumor removed so I can be cancer free. Nobody can afford to be irresponsible today. This is some serious life & death stuff!!!-----Bunnypie

For the most part, I am responsible. The difficulty I have is remembering to do what I need to do when I need to do it. That is why I got my medication put in a Blister Pack, so I wouldn't forget my medication and take it when prescribed. It was difficult for me with the odd hours that I keep, not always because I want to, just because that is the way they are on any given day, they can be back to front.

I am responsible when anyone, anywhere reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA to be there. It was there for me, it is only right that I pay it forward. I had so many great people in my life, many gone now, but so grateful that my God put them in my life.

I called and left a message with a member of my group telling them that if it rains, I might not make it to the meeting. I have Housing coming and it says 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and when I phoned, they said it should be about 10. I need to leave at 11:15 a.m. to get to my group. It is a little early to set things up with Darts. I know I won't melt, but don't want to sit for an hour and a half with wet clothes. It would really do a number on my 5 types of arthritis. So what will be, will be. At least it isn't 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It is important for me to take the Steps I need to do to get what I need done. My problem is that I will mark it on my calendar or put it on my refrigerator and forget to look. Today, I checked the date, but forgot to get water and ended up buying apple juice. It cost me, for forgetting. It cost me $1.79 for an 8 oz. bottle. I forgot to ask the price before she rung it up. Generally I say, forget it, but today I didn't want to miss my Al-Anon meeting. I had already taken a taxi to get to the group because I missed the bus. It was at the stop and I was half a block away. Thankfully I had asked the receptionist to make the call, I had a feeling I was too late for the bus. So glad I listened to my thoughts and followed through.
