Wow! this chip came up again! I always stir the chips and ask God give me the one he thinks I need to work on! I found out yesterday that I will have surgery on October 25th Tuesday. The surgeon explained that there is a lot of "prep work" to be done before the surgery. I have to have metal markers and dye injected so the tumors (yes there are 2 of them not just one) will show up easy. They have to remove a lymph node to make sure it has not spread any where else. It is going to be a long procedure but I won't have to spend the night in the hospital. I was stubborn about finding out all the details and I am willing to do this because it will be 'one & done' and I am so glad about that!!!!!!!  |

So glad you were able to talk to the surgeon and willing to follow the procedure necessary to do the surgery. There is so much red tape and so many chiefs and not enough indians as the saying goes, and many people are handicapped waiting on someone else to do their job.
I will be glad to see my heart specialist, I have been waiting 3 months to get in to see him. I think he needs to re-evaluate my charts and change my medication, so like you, I think I will be a little stubborn and insist on some answers.
If stubborn is about digging in your heals about something you believe in, I am all for it. Just being stubborn just because everyone disagrees with you and you are not willing to change, then I try not to go there in today.
When I can't find the willingness I need, then I need to pray for the willingness to be willing.

I really respect the fact that the surgeon was willing to patiently explain everything in simple language so I could be calm and reassured of what was gonna happen. It really meant a lot to me and I felt like a pin in a balloon just deflated and very calm! I think that sometime stubborn can be an asset and finally give me the information I need to cope. I am willing to do what ever it takes to get this cancer removed from my body and YES it will be a lot of jumping thru hoops to get it done but she did reassure me that it would be "one & done" I don't want to go thru this 2-3 times!!! I am willing to do it once------Bunnypie |
