My brain says to get active and get some chores done. My body says go back to bed and take it easy. This chip could be playing tug-o-war with me today! Just have to see how it goes....Bunnypie

Know what you mean. Lately I have been having busy days and then I crash. My father always said I was born lazy, so I believed him. I wasn't always motivated. Sometimes I label myself as lazy because the mind is willing, but the flesh is weak. With Fibromyalgia, I just have to accept it. I can only do what I can do.
Most people don't look at being on the computer and sharing here and at Tammy's site as work and being active. It is a part of my life, so I think it counts. For me, it is like volunteer work.
I do a lot of reading. Mostly because I enjoy it and it is a me thing, something I have done for years. Yet there is a lazy factor to it, I can pick up a book to escape addressing issues or doing the dishes. I try to put the dishes to soak and pick up a book, but often forget the dishes and the water gets cold. LOL! I always take a book down to laundry. I couldn't possibly do laundry without a book. I would have to go to the library or go rooting in boxes to see if I could find a book I haven't read or a good book I want to reread. I seldom do that, but have found myself doing it a few times this past year.
What I don't want is a lazy mind, and reading helps that. I believe reading is why I got tested at grade 13+ when I did a mature student test in my 60s. I quit school to look after my mom when I was 17 before I came down to Hamilton to find work. I was in Grade 11. I did go back and get my Grade 12, but English wasn't a big part of it. I took a commercial course. I think it is one of the reasons that I went from a file clerk to an office manager.

Hi Jo---I can't clean house or take a shower without music being on. I like to sing in the shower and I have ghetto blaster that I play cds on while I am showering. LOL I sound like a rock star with my voice bouncing off the tile walls of the shower!!! It is what motivates me to get things done. I have high energy music that I can sing along to and that keeps me moving. I know a lot of song lyrics because of doing this!------Bunnypie

That is the difference between us, I like to listen to the music and seldom pay attention to the words. If there is a message I need to hear, the words come to me, but on the whole it is just a healing tool for me. I use to listen to a lot of country, I was raised on it. Now I am more of a jazz person.
Rock and Roll intrudes in my space, especially if it is not done well.
