It is up to me, the adult self to give the child within the love and care he/she never received. When I am feeling hurt, it is often rooted in a past feeling. I need to learn to be my own best friend, and give myself a hug. I need to wash away those old feelings and replace them with positive ones. I need to cleanse my spirit and often I need to release tears to do that. Sometimes it is just going into a shower or a bath and changing the energy around me. I often say a prayer in the shower asking that I be cleansed of all negativity to make room for positive and good in my life.

I thought I was the only person who prayed in the shower! LOL At first I thogth it was a little weird...because i was NAKED. But then I realized, HE knows wht I look like when I'm naked. So why not spend this quiet, relaxing time in prayer.
Cleansing within and on the outside is good. Tears do cleanse. venting to a trusted person helps. I prefer to vent on paper and delete it. taht way i get my feelings and frustrations out but dont ahve to bother somebody with it or i dont have to deliver the letter to the person.
In my faith we have other ways of cleansing. (baptism and reconciliation) These sacraments cleanse me spiritually.

You guys are not the only one.... I pray and meditate in the tub. Best place to detach from the rest of the world and concentrate on me. Hope that is not too much info.
Love Arlene

Cleanse the body, mind and spirit. Pray and ask your God for help to let go of blocks that stand in the way of your recovery. The frog is the symbol for cleansing. Letting go of the old to make room for the new.

Bought a new set of meditation cards and this seems to be the theme so far. The cards are beautiful and called Native Spirit by Denise Linn.
