V is for Vanity. It has no place in recovery, it is part of your dis-ease. It is important to care for yourself and present your best face forward, but your face isn't the onlyy part of your personna people look at when they look to see recovery.

W is for Willing. Willing to go to any length to stay clean and sober. When I can't find the willingness to do..., I pray for the willingness to be willing.

X is for "X" marks the spot. The spot I need to be is at my AA meeting tomorrow. Another good spot is a quiet place to talk with your God. My God answers knee-mail, but he know I can't get down there, and it is the thought that counts.

Y is for You. You deserve recovery. You need to focus on you, not on others. Identify, don't compare. You have to want to do it for yourself, you can't do it for others, you have to be willing to be willing to quit for yourself, or the program doesn't work. You may be sober, but may find yourself out of reach of sobriety.

Z is for Zip. Zip your lip, don't carry gossip. If you haven't heard it from the original source, it is gossip. If you hear it from the original source, ask for permission to pass it on. It is called respect.
