Today I pulled out the stick that says resentful or forgiving. I used to have many resentments. But I learned to let them go. To forgive. The other person may not even know I have forgiven. But that part is to help ME.

Lean toward the forgiveness too. Forgive the person, not always the act though. As you say, it is for me, not for them. I don't want to live with the internal termoil when I have a resentment. I always try to look at where they are coming from. Generally they are acting out in their disease, and if I don't forgive, I am acting out in my own disease.
