Construct means to build. So I see constructively critical being a way to say something that builds up the ohter person instead of tearing them down. I do try to be constructively critical. I may say when I do it this way, this is what happens. And it gives the other person a thought to try instead of the way they are doing it. IF my sister asked if an outfit looks good on her I may comment on the color instead of how it fits. It's being polite and not putting other down.

Well said Lin. I often say, "It is how you say it, not so much about what you do say. There is no excuse for rude." When people put someone down to make themselves feel good, my back goes up.
We can share our experience, strength, and hope. That doesn't mean it is right for someone else. We all have to find our own path and do what is right for us.
